Solen: The Green Museum
Exhibition & Installation, 2025
Show info
“Solen” is an installation designed by JAC Studios, currently displayed at Det Grønne Museum in Denmark. This immersive piece, part of the museum’s commitment to exploring the intersections of nature, science, and art, brings the powerful essence of the sun into the indoor space.
At the heart of the installation is a large-scale sculptural structure that simulates the sun’s radiant energy, creating an atmosphere where visitors can physically and emotionally engage with light, warmth, and rhythm. The piece features dynamic lighting effects that shift throughout the day, emulating the sun’s changing qualities, from the soft glow of dawn to the intense brightness of midday and the calming hues of sunset. This temporal progression encourages contemplation on the ever-changing nature of our environment and the central role the sun plays in sustaining life on Earth.
In collaboration with sound artists, the experience is further enriched with an immersive auditory experience where visitors can select between different interpretations of the Sun by musicians. The artists have crafted original compositions that evoke natural soundscapes from the hum of the earth’s rhythms to the wind and solar energy cycles reinforcing the sensation of connection to the planet’s life force. The combination of light and sound creates a multisensory encounter that transforms the space into a vibrant, living representation of the sun’s vast and vital presence.
